Luke was delightful and athletic boy. H put his energy to good use as a soccer player for many years. His running and kicking abilities served him well. Many on the sidelines chanted his name, "Luke, Luke, Luke" whenever he had the ball and was running toward the goal. Luke moved with his family to Montana in 1991. As a 9 year old, he contributed greatly to the building of their home. Later, Luke took on a love of the mountains around him and took to them like a fish to water. He spent countless days and hours hiking the ridges and peaks that characterize Southwestern Montana. Sometimes he hiked with friends and sometimes alone. He enjoyed solitude and felt at one with God when atop a mountain peak, looking out over God's creation.
